Both CEN/ISO and HL7 use knowledge from the clinical domain that expresses what they need to store, retrieve and exchange. The EN13606 standard defines ‘archetypes’ for this purpose. HL7 is using the term ‘Templates’ and ‘domain message information model’.

Both express the information needs. The health information part of it is named ‘Detailed Clinical Model’ (DCM).

This EN13606 Information Site wants to be a platform where we can discuss DCM related issues:
-    DCM requirements
-    DCM Copy right and licensing issues
-    Publication of quality assured DCM’s
-    Standardisation in ISO/TC215

We expect to start our DCM journey with an introduction any time soon.
